Council  Final_2014_ResizeThe five-member Santa Clarita City Council holds their regular meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month in the City Council Chambers beginning at 6:00 p.m. (Council Meetings are broadcast live on SCV TV Channel 20 and on the City’s Website.)

Santa Clarita City Council members are elected and serve four year terms.  General municipal elections are held in April of even number years and all City residents are eligible to vote.  Visit the City’s election page for more information about the election process and important dates.

Local Media

KHTS AM 1220 – Santa Clarita’s only local radio station, offering a combination of news, traffic and sports, as well as adult contemporary hits.  The station offers e-mail and text alerts and a daily e-blast.  The website also features a variety of lifestyle links, from health and beauty, fishing and restaurant to recipes and a business directory.

SCVTV Channel 20 – Santa Clarita’s only local public, education and government television channel. SCVTV programming reaches the entire Santa Clarita Valley on Time Warner Cable Channel 20, AT&T U-Verse Channel 99/Santa Clarita, and online at SCVTV.com.

The Signal – Santa Clarita’s only local newspaper, serving the Santa Clarita Valley and neighboring communities.  The paper is delivered daily and also includes a popular online edition and daily e-blasts.
